Expand your climbing skills and experience the fascination of multi-pitch routes in breathtaking rock terrain! Multi-pitch climbing opens up access to great walls and alpine routes. In this two-day course, you will learn how to climb safely and efficiently over multiple pitches, build belay stations, and navigate in complex terrain. Our goal is to provide you with the necessary knowledge to independently climb classic and modern multi-pitch routes. Course Contents: - Gear knowledge: ropes, belay devices, mobile protection - Building and organizing belay stations - Rope management and efficient rope handling - Belaying the lead and second climber - Rappelling and rope commands - Tactics, route planning, and navigation - Hazard awareness and emergency management Requirements: - Safe lead climbing (approximately UIAA 5 or 6) - Experience in sport climbing (top-rope routes) - Belaying techniques for lead and second climbers should be known Group Size: 4-6 people per guide Accommodation: Hotel Steingletscher Price: CHF 520 / person Included in the price: - Mountain guide / apprentice for 2 days - One night in a shared room with half board - Organization of the tour Not included in the price: - Gear according to the separate gear list - Travel to and from the location - Lunch and drinks - Insurance (accident insurance, association membership, cancellation insurance is the responsibility of the participants) Meeting Point: 8:50 AM at the train station in Göschenen Language: German/English GEAR LIST: Personal Climbing Equipment: - Approach shoes - Climbing harness - Climbing shoes - 2 locking carabiners (including 1 HMS carabiner) - Rappelling device suitable for half ropes (tube, etc.) - Helmet - Chalk bag - Half ropes (if available) - 1 set of quickdraws (if available) - Your own camming devices (if available, cams, nuts, etc.) Clothing: - Warm and suitable clothing for climbing tours, including waterproof jacket - Spare underwear Special Items: - Toiletries, personal medications, small first aid kit, band-aids - Sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, sun hat - Mobile phone - Half-fare card or GA - Thermos or water bottle - Snacks for 2 days
