Service Description
The Salbit South Ridge is famous worldwide for a reason. A classic granite ridge climb on perfect granite, high exposure, and an improbable summit needle, this climb has it all. If you think you can handle18 pitches, this should be in your bucket list! You'll have a blast climbing up cracks, slabs, and corners. On the first day we walk up to the beautiful Salbit hut where we enjoy a good cup of coffee and fuel up with a cake before we do some warm-up climbing just behind the hut. On the second day we start early and head up to the start of our long on beautiful climb. The tour leads over the towers of the south ridge with several rappels. The last pitch up the iconic needle is something you will not forget easily. After that it's time for a hike down to the hut and a refreshment before going back down the valley. Technical Level: - Experience in multi-pitch climbing (climbing, belaying, rappelling) - You can follow 6a outdoors and can belay safely. - Fitness for 5-7 hours of climbing plus 1.5 hour approach and 2 hour descent.
