Route Description – Pazolastock Ski Tour

From the Oberalp Pass or Nätschen area, the route climbs steadily through open alpine terrain towards the summit of the Pazolastock. The slopes are wide, scenic, and ideal for ski touring.

 

The summit offers spectacular views over the Ursern valley, the Gotthard massif, and the Surselva region.

Descent Options

The Pazolastock ski tour offers several rewarding descent variations:

 

Option 1 – East Face via Maighelshütte

A scenic descent leads through open slopes towards the Maighelshütte. From here, continue down to Tschamut or return towards the Oberalp Pass.

A classic alpine ski touring experience with a hut stop option.

Option 2 – Direct Descent to Tschamut

A long and direct descent leads through wide slopes down to Tschamut. This is a very rewarding option in good snow conditions with excellent flow skiing.

Option 3 – West Side to Nätschen / Andermatt

The west-facing descent leads towards Nätschen and continues through the Unteralptal down to Andermatt.

 

The longest and most varied descent, combining alpine terrain with valley skiing.

  • Skills: Confident skiing in variable terrain
