Andermatt in Winter

Snow, Terrain and Local Experience in the Gotthard Region

Andermatt lies at the heart of the Gotthard region and is one of the most exciting winter destinations in the Swiss Alps.

Weather, wind and precipitation can arrive from different directions. As a result, snow conditions can vary considerably – sometimes within just a few kilometres.

That is exactly why local experience matters here.

Names such as Gemsstock, Felsental, Giraffe, Geissberg and the Vorgipfel Couloir represent alpine off-piste routes, steep slopes and unforgettable winter days.

At the same time, the terrain is complex and conditions can change quickly. Our mountain guides know the region, its different aspects and exposures, the typical hazard areas and the best options for each day.

Winter in Andermatt is constantly changing.

The right tour always depends on the current conditions.
