SKI MOUNTAINEERING CAMP DISENTIS 🎯 Learning Objectives Ski mountaineering combines ski touring, mountaineering and alpine decision-making. This 3-day course is for experienced ski tourers who want to progress towards more complex alpine objectives in the Swiss Alps. You will learn efficient movement in steep terrain, alpine route planning and confident decision-making in changing conditions. Course highlights – Advanced ski touring techniques

 – Skiers preparing for ski mountaineering objectives 📅 Course Program Day 1 – Warm-up & Planning – Warm-up runs on Gemsstock backside terrain
 – Short ski tour in varied terrain
 – Arrival in Hospental (coffee & cake)
 – Planning next days (gear, food, overnight strategy) Day 2 – Into the Wild – Train to Disentis and resupply
 – Short tour from lift terrain
 – Approach into alpine terrain
 – Glacier traverse to Cavadiras Hut
 – Cooking and overnight in hut Day 3 – Big Descent – Early start and glacier travel
 – Ascent Fruttstock
 – Descent north couloir (conditions depending)
 – Alternative route if needed
 – Return by public transport 💪 Requirements Fitness – Advanced level
 – Up to 1200m ascent per day Technical Requirements – Advanced skier
 – Comfortable in terrain up to 35°, up to 40° in good conditions
 – Strong off-piste and touring experience required 🎿 Equipment – Off-piste skis with skins (max 105mm waist) 
– Ski crampons
 – Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe
 – Backpack, water, lunch/snack
 – Harness with carabiner and rappel device
 – Crampons and ice axe – Personal items for the hut (incl. Sleeping bag liner) 📍 Meeting Point To be determined depending on conditions.
