Service Description

WARM UP DAYS ANDERMATT 🎯 Learning Objectives The Warm Up Days in Andermatt are designed as an entry point into the winter season. The focus is on reactivating ski skills, refreshing avalanche and safety awareness, and preparing for off-piste terrain and more advanced ski touring or freeride courses. You will train in varied terrain around Andermatt while gradually increasing complexity, exposure, and technical demand. Focus areas – Ski technique refresh in mixed snow conditions 
– Terrain awareness and off-piste orientation
 – Safe movement in early-season alpine terrain – Group riding and communication in variable conditions
 – Introduction or refresh of avalanche safety basics 📅 Course Program Day 1 – Ski technique training for freeride skiing with a level 2 instructor and mountain guide in and off piste
 – Video analysis and feedback
 – Technique improvement in variable snow conditions Day 2 – Steep skiing technique and tactics
 – Movement in steeper terrain (up to 40° in good conditions)
 – Introduction to snow anchors and abseiling (rapelling)
 – Practical application in alpine terrain 💪 Requirements Fitness – Intermediate fitness level
 – Up to 2.5 hours of ascent hiking / climbing during the day Technical Requirements – Intermediate to advanced skiing level
 – Comfortable skiing in terrain up to 35°, up to 40° in good conditions 🎿 Equipment – Backpack 
– Off-piste skis
 – Avalanche transceiver
 – Shovel and probe 
– Water and lunch/snacks – Helmet Optional: – Avalanche airbag backpack
 Depending on conditions: – Skins
 – Crampons and ice axe
 – Harness Rental equipment can be reserved at Imholz Sport Andermatt. 📍 Meeting Point 08:30 at Imholz Sport, Gemsstock cable car base station, Andermatt. ✅ Included in the Price – Guiding in an open group (4–6 people) by a certified UIAGM mountain guide or aspirant guide
